Sipperly to head up CLB

Directors meet to plan for 2006 and beyond

(12/02/05) Charlotte Latin head coach Dick Sipperly had been elected by the Charlotte Lacrosse Boosters board of directors to be the group's new president. Dick succeeds George Schwab who stepped down at the end of last season after serving for six years. Ed Perdue, who is active in Weddington area lacrosse is the new vice-president. Bruce Buskard, the area's head lacrosse official, will be secretary. Schwab will remain on the executive committee as treasurer.

In other news Darrin Sanchez, Bobby Thompson, Jim Hull and Jeff Thomsen were named to the CLB board. They join current board members Bo Turner, Michael Desmond, Chris Diamond, Tony Zande, Jim Fritz, Brad Touma, Cliff Bauer, Jennifer Clutter, Stan Archibald, Rick Pons, Richard Keenan, Lenny Saia and Catherine Mellon.

The annual planning meeting was held at the Gateway Center YMCA where the boosters considered a wide variety of proposals to improve and expand the nonprofit organization's programs and services.
